I. Mandate Designation: 1.01
Official Title: The Sol System Exclusion and Non-Interference Protocol
Common Title: The Sol Interdiction
Date of Ratification: Cycle 001, Day 1 (Post-Exodus Standard)
Ratifying Body: The First Council of the Unity Accord
Article 1: Preamble & Justification
WHEREAS, the Unity Accord was founded upon the principle of ensuring the long-term survival of the human species through managed expansion and the prevention of past societal failures;
WHEREAS, the civilization of Old Earth (Sol-3) represents a terminal state of ideological and ecological collapse, posing a significant philosophical and potentially biological contaminant risk to the integrity of the Six Expeditions;
WHEREAS, a return to or contact with the cradle of humanity would introduce regressive belief systems, historical grievances, and potential unknown pathogens into the stable, progressive societies of the Accord;
THEREFORE, for the preservation of our shared future and the sanctity of our mission, the Sol System is hereby declared an Interdicted Zone.
Article 2: Prohibitions
2.1 – Prohibition of Entry: No vessel, whether military, commercial, or civilian, registered under or allied with the Unity Accord, shall enter the Sol System, defined as the region within the gravitational influence of its star, Sol. The outer boundary is marked by the Oort Cloud (approx. 50,000 AU from Sol).
2.2 – Prohibition of Communication: No attempt shall be made to establish or receive communication signals originating from or directed toward the Sol System. All Accord networks are programmed to automatically reject and log any such attempts.
2.3 – Prohibition of Observation: With the exception of the designated Sentinel-class monitoring station (call sign: “ARGUS”), no UA asset shall be used to actively observe or gather new data from within the Sol System. The historical data archives are sealed and considered complete.
2.4 – Prohibition of Historical Contamination: The transport of any un-sanitized physical artifacts or un-vetted digital data originating from pre-Exodus Old Earth is strictly forbidden without express authorization from the Accord Historical Preservation Council.
Article 3: Enforcement & Penalties
3.1 – Automated Defense: The Interdicted Zone is patrolled by an autonomous and heavily armed defense network. Any unauthorized vessel crossing the boundary will be issued one (1) standardized warning. Failure to comply and retreat immediately will result in the vessel’s summary and complete destruction without further communication.
3.2 – Penalties for Violation: Any citizen or group found to be attempting to violate this mandate will be charged with an act of Existential Sedition against the Unity Accord. The penalties are severe and may include permanent exile, psychological re-conditioning, or, in cases of extreme threat to Accord stability, civic dissolution.
Article 4: Finality
This mandate is foundational and may not be repealed or amended except by a unanimous vote of the full Accord Council under conditions of a verified, species-level existential threat that necessitates such action. It stands as a permanent firewall between our future and our past.
